| My life is wonderful!
I graduated from Whitman College and I have a MS Degree from Simmons College. I studied no art. I met and married my husband, Jim, a long time ago. We raised five children. They are raising five grandchildren. They are wonderful! After my husband’s corporate career and living a number of places around the country, we and another person bought a business that kept us very busy. Along the way I earned an instrument rated commercial pilot license; that, too, was wonderful! Eighteen years later, we sold the business and moved on to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State across Admiralty Inlet from Whidbey Island and Everett beyond. |

I don’t remember not sewing. I became interested in fabric and thread as art mediums a long time ago. I have always loved quilts; I had promised myself some art education when we retired and have taken classes at the community college level and painting classes from a number of instructors. It wasn’t until I walked through a Nancy Crow classroom at the Coupeville Art Center that I knew I could be taught to design art quilts. Finally, I was able to take my first class from Nancy in 1995.
